Fashion designer Tan France has revealed his son has arrived in a sweet Instagram post with his husband Rob
The Queer Eye favourite told his 3.8 million followers that Ismail France had been born on July 10 but was seven weeks early and had to spend three weeks in the Neo-natal Unit before being allowed home.
He said: “Give our son a warm welcome. Ismail France, born July 10th. He came 7 weeks early, so he’s been in the NICU for the past 3 weeks. But, today, we finally got to bring him home. We love him so, so much. Like, fully obsessed.
“Our surrogate is doing so great, post labour, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the greatest gift in our lives.”
The 37-year-old, originally from Doncaster but who is now based in the US, announced the news he and Rob were going to be parents back in April with an image of him holding a scan of the baby boy.
He said at the time: “So happy to finally share we are having a baby. With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to becoming parents, this summer.
“This is something we’ve wanted for sooo many years. Our hearts are so full right now. I cannot wait to hold this baby and show him so much love.”
Other celebrities who have welcomed children via surrogacy during the COVID-19 pandemic include supermodel Naomi Campbell, actress Amber Heard and news presenter, Jon Snow.
