Classical opera singer and radio presenter Mylene Klass has revealed she felt like a ‘failure as a partner’ after suffering four miscarriages
The 43-year-old went on to have a successful pregnancy giving birth to her son, Apollo, who is now two, with her partner, Simon Motson.
Mylene, who is also mum to 14-year-old Ava ad ten-year-old Hero with an ex-partner, has been open with the couple’s fertility issues in a new documentary special she has front entitled, Mylene Klass: Miscarriage and Me.
She opens up about her experiences in the programme and talks to other women who have been through similar sad times, and the impact it has had on their lives.
The show aired on W channel on October 14 and is available on catch up TV.
She tearfully said: “I have my baby now, but God, I lost a lot of me. I think it nearly broke me.
“When you’ve been through miscarriage, you’ve been through a battle with your body. You’ve been to war and there are casualties.”
She said she didn’t talk to Simon about it as she felt like she had failed him.
Simon, who appeared in the documentary, said it never once entered his head that Mylene was to blame for the miscarriages.
She said: “Not at one point at all did I blame it on you. No, never. I just felt a huge loss. There are unknown little people that I never met.”
