Former NSync singer Lance Bass has welcomed twins after years of trying for a family with his husband Michael Turchin
The US celebrities, who married in 2014, revealed they were expecting during an interview with People Magazine.
The couple’s road to parenthood has been long and arduous since they announced they were looking into surrogacy, with the pair suffering many failed IVF cycles and heartbreaking miscarriages along the way.
Lance, 42, posted the news of the twins’ arrival with a cute photo of them, alongside the caption: “Haven’t slept much in five days and I’m covered in ick but I’ve never been so happy. Now there are four of us in this house that wear diapers.
The pair welcomed their daughter, Violet, and son, Alexander, on October 13.
Many of their celebrity friends were among the first to congratulate them, including Kardashian momager, Kris Jenner.
The couple has long been open about their journey to parenthood
Michael revealed in an interview that the couple tried for children using nine different egg donors
He said: “That is quite rare. Some just wouldn’t produce enough eggs; some weren’t good genetic matches. If you’re going to be a match, you don’t want to even risk it.”
The couple revealed their surrogate miscarried twins last year which was devastating for all concerned.
They then had to start over with a new egg donor during the pandemic, something they found difficult.
Since the twins’ arrival, the pair have been posting beautiful images of them in their first few days of life.
