UK reality television star Chris Hughes has revealed he is concerned about his prospects of having children after finding ‘the one’
The Love Islander, who finished in third place with his then partner, Olivia Attwood, told The Scottish Sun he is keen to start a family with his girlfriend, Annabel Dimmock.
He said in the exclusive interview: “I do worry, now that I have a girlfriend and I see a future with her, I do sometimes sit there and think. In your own head, you think, mine could end up like my brother’s and just pack up.
“You just don’t know what’s going on inside your body, that’s why it is so important to be proactive in terms of how you look after yourself and prioritising your own health.
“I do think about it from time to time. It is always good to get yourself checked out. But hopefully, I should be all good by the time I come to that point.”
Chris took part in a documentary, entitled Me, My Brother and his Balls about testicular cancer and fertility issues after his brother Ben was diagnosed.
Ben is now in remission but has been told he may not be able to conceive after his treatment harmed his sperm.
Chris said: “My brother is good, I feel like we should do a follow-up, it was kind of left on what will happen next.
“He is still trying hard to have a child, he has gone through so many procedures with his fertility.
“It was a mad shock and revelation during the documentary.
“He is happy and is desperate to have a child, so is taking tablets to increase his testosterone, seeing specialists, and trying everything. It’s just a waiting game at the moment.”
Chris also gushed about his girlfriend Annabelle and his hope to marry her in the future
He said: “We have so much in common and we are moving at the same time.
“It’s so important that you’re on a level playing field and in the same headspace.
“It is going so well and I couldn’t be happier.”
The couple met at a golf event when they were paired up to play together in a tournament.
