Former reality television star Whitney Port is to consult a fertility expert after suffering a third miscarriage
The 36-year-old fashion influencer and designer has been very candid about her desire to give her four-year-old son, Sonny a sibling.
She revealed that she was scared of becoming pregnant again, but it was definitely something she wanted to continue to investigate.
She told People magazine: “It is a daunting thought having to go through this process again and all the unknowns, but it is something that we’re looking into figuring out because I know that while I’m scared to get pregnant again and scared to miscarry and scared for the newborn phase and scared of breastfeeding, I’m scared for all of it, but if I look back at my life in 20 years, I will regret not doing it.”
Whitney, who is well known for appearing in the hit television show, The Hills and her own spin-off show, The City, said she had been advised to seek the help of a fertility specialist.
Whitney, who married Tim Rosenman in 2015, told her 1.5 million Instagram followers that she was taking life one day at a time following the shocking miscarriage, which happened just weeks after the couple announced their pregnancy.
She said: “My heart is with every single woman who has gone through this pain. I hope by sharing my feelings and story, some of you will not feel alone.”
In an earlier post, she said: “It was hard for me to motivate to take these pictures. This was last week when I thought everything was ok, our pregnancy was moving along, but I was feeling so drained from the crazy things our bodies have to do to create a life.
“I didn’t think that the day before we were going to launch our beautiful new sweater collection, In The Clouds, I would be miscarrying. But here we are. Life doesn’t stop for anything or anyone. We just have to roll with it and there is no way out but through.”
