Start your day in a great way with this ‘nutritious and delicious’ Seaweed Smoothie. The ingredients in this smoothie will help you start your day with a great burst of energy and also provides numerous nutrients supportive to health and fertility.
Seaweed- is low in calories and a great source of iodine which is needed for the healthy functioning of the thyroid gland. This mineral is vital for a healthy conception because it is a building block for hormones and plays an important role in balancing hormones. Seaweed also contains zinc- another important mineral for health and fertility as well as iron, fibre, copper, zinc, potassium, magnesium, silicon, cobalt, vitamins A, B (particularly B12), C, and E.
Spinach is an amazing source of iron, folate, vitamin C and beta -carotene- all important nutrients to health and fertility.
Pears are a great source of polyphenol antioxidants – helping to ‘zap’ those free radicals which may lead to oxidative stress and cell damage. They are a low Glycaemic Load (GL) fruit (meaning that sugar is released very slowly into the blood stream from them) and are a great source of folate, vitamin C, copper, and potassium.
Apples (or fresh apple juice) help support the immune system as they are also rich in vitamin c, antioxidants and contain many plant compounds including Quercetin (a great anti -inflammatory). They are also a low GL fruit.
The banana in this smoothie is a fabulous source of magnesium – the happy mineral (helping to reduce stress) and provide numerous other important nutrients too including potassium and vitamin B6.
