A traditional Mediterranean dressing recipe, this nourishing and delicious Lemon Pepper Olive Oil quickly enhances any salad or platter of veggies.
Lemons – are abundant in vitamin C and flavonoids, both powerful antioxidants, important in preventing free radical damage to cells, supporting the immune system, for skin health, increasing iron absorption from food, weight loss and the prevention of scurvy. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that is crucial for preventing free radical damage to the DNA of sperm and eggs, which is important to fertility. According to studies, vitamin C increases sperm motility and decreases sperm agglutination (clumping). Vitamin C and vitamin E supplementation increased male sperm quantity, motility, and even DNA integrity, according to various studies. Vitamin C aids in sugar control since it is involved in the metabolism of glucose. The balance of hormones also depends on this.
Extra virgin olive oil , is abundant in antioxidant polyphenols, vitamin E and healthy monounsaturated fat. Great for the heart, reducing inflammation, skin care and fertility.
Mediterranean Lemon Pepper Olive Oil Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
Pinch freshly ground black pepper (adjust the amount to taste)
To make:
Add 6 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and freshly ground black pepper to a small jar or bowl. Shake or whisk the ingredients for a few seconds to combine them and pour them over your salad. Enjoy!
