Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have announced they are expecting a rainbow baby after suffering a devastating miscarriage two years ago
The model and social media influencer took to Instagram to tell her 32 million that she was ‘nervous’ about revealing the news after the tragedy of what happened with their son, Jack back in September 2020.
Chrissy, 36, was 20 weeks pregnant at the time, and she said it had been a long road to getting past their loss.
At the time, she was told it might be difficult to carry another child, and she may consider surrogacy or adoption to expand her family in the future.
She said in the most recent Instagram post she has been feeling ‘hopeful and amazing’ to be having another child.
She said: “The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again.
“One billion shots later (in the leg lately, as you can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still.
“I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing!”
She also admitted that it was becoming more and more difficult to keep her pregnancy a secret as her bump is ever growing.
All her feelings and emotions are all completely expected and normal after such upset and trauma. Chrissy and the rest of your family, we wish you all the best, congratulations!
