Singer Ciara has revealed she and husband Russell Wilson have been supporting close family friends who have been going through fertility issues
The star revealed to her 32 million Instagram followers that she had been supporting her husband’s personal trainer, Amy Atmore, who told them that she did not know if she would be able to have a child.
The 36-year-old got emotional in a recent post announcing the good news that Amy had given birth to a baby girl, called Aysi, who she was delighted to be holding in the accompanying image.
She said: “Amy Atmore has inspired us all so much on her journey to motherhood. She shared her dreams of being a mommy with @DangeRussWilson and I and how she didn’t know if she could have a child. She tried a few times before and experienced loss every time, and we, unfortunately, experienced one of her losses with her.
“It was so sad, but our faith never wavered! We prayed together, we spoke life, and a few months later we heard the sweet news that she was pregnant again! Approximately 24 weeks into her pregnancy we learned things weren’t going as expected in the womb and there was concern about the amniotic fluid surrounding the baby, and she had to get out fast.”
Ciara went on to explain that Amy was watched very closely for the next five weeks and baby Aysi was delivered at 29 weeks weighing 1lb 5 ounces. She revealed Aysi spent four months in NICU and had to endure several surgeries before being allowed to come home.
She said: “Aysi’s thriving and adding more joy to the world! Our miracle baby Aysi!! She’s perfect! We couldn’t be more proud of her parents Amy and Ron @gottacomeup for believing and not giving up! Aysi is going to rock the world and inspire so many!!”
The singer revealed she wanted to share her friend’s story to inspire others never to give up on their dreams of becoming parents.
“I wanted to share this beautiful story to tell whoever needs it….Don’t ever give up!! The moment you feel like you want to give up can be your breakthrough! A new life can happen! Literally! To all my women with hopes of becoming a mom, keep believing!! Keep speaking life!! Anything is possible when you believe!”
