Real Housewife of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury has undergone a cycle of IVF to have a child with her new husband Sergio Carallo
The 46-year-old and her 27-year-old husband attended the Fakih Fertility Centre, in Dubai after being told they could not proceed with IVF until they were legally married.
Caroline explained that she had some concerns about carrying another child.
She said: “I think any woman at my age hesitates. I got very sick with my children. I don’t children well. So, that’s a concern, which is my health. I had Yasmine, then I had two miscarriages, and I had IVF to have my two boys.
“Was I the most maternal of mothers? No, probably not. But now I could not imagine life any other way.”
Caroline said in her confessional that Sergio wanted children but if it could not happen, he was comfortable with that.
She said: “If we can’t have a baby, Sergio said he is comfortable with that. I don’t know if that’s necessarily true, but I don’t let my head wander there.”
Caroline was sedated for the procedure and when she came too, doctors told her they had been able to retrieve five eggs.
The couple plan to freeze the embryos created and try to have a child next year.
Caroline was a previous reality star on Ladies of London and Sergio was a former professional football player and businessman.
