US model and social media influencer Chrissy Teigen has revealed she told her children very early on about her pregnancy via IVF
In a recent interview with People magazine, she said her two children, Luna, six, and four-year-old Miles were ‘very excited’ when she told them that they were going to have a sibling.
She said: “They’ve been excited for a long time. I feel like this is going to be the longest pregnancy for them because they have known it since the day. But they are both really very excited.
“They knew that I was going in for the transfer, that we were going in to put an egg in Mummy’s belly.
“So they knew from the very, very beginning, and they knew there would be a chance it might not work because that has happened before.”
Chrissy announced her pregnancy in August after keeping it a secret for as long as she felt she could.
Her nervousness was compelled by the tragic death of her third child, Jack, who passed away when Chrissy was just 20 weeks pregnant, something that devastated her and her husband, singer-songwriter, John Legend.
In an Instagram post from August 3, she said: “The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. One billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way.
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, “ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce” but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still.
“I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew, it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
It is thought she is due to give birth in Winter 2022/23.
