Comedian Sara Pascoe will begin a new tour in November 2022 and has centred the whole show on her evaluation of the term ‘success’
The 41-year-old welcomed her child in early 2022 following IVF treatment with her husband, fellow comedian Steen Raskopoulon, and the idea for the show came about after her journey.
The Great Sewing Bee presenter said the word success was talked about a lot during appointments, so she began to look at how the word has been used during her life, including her first brush with fame at the tender age of 14 when she appeared on Michael Barrymore’s My Kind of People programme.
She shared the news of the baby’s arrival on Instagram in February with a sweet post of Steen feeding the newborn.
Along the image, Sara said: “Morning everyone from me and my valentines.”
Prior to her IVF, Sara opened up about suffering a miscarriage and how she wanted to share the love with anyone else on a fertility journey.
She said: “I’ve been shy about posting about my pregnancy, partly my own anxiety after losing one at the beginning of the year, but also awareness of what other people may be going through.
“There can be so much sadness felt alongside the happiness (and luck) of others. However, I’m in the third trimester now and realised if I don’t post soon, you’ll see me with a buggy next year and think I stole a kid.
“Also, I conceived via IVF, so huge love and support for anyone going through it or thinking about it. I want you to get everything you deserve and hope you know how brave you are to go on this journey of the unknown.”
Sara’s tour starts on November 10 and runs until April 2023. To buy tickets, click here.
