Rebel Wilson has revealed she has become a mother after a surrogacy journey
The 42-year-old announced that her daughter Royce Lillian was born via surrogate.
The Bridesmaids star went through a complete transformation in 2020, which she entitled her ‘year of health’, and lost nearly six stone in weight.
It was also the year she decided to freeze her eggs after getting candid about having Polycystic ovarian syndrome.
She announced the news to her 11 million Instagram followers that she had welcomed her little bundle of joy.
She said: “Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate. I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle!
“I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!!
“I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect for all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”
The post garnered more than 1.9 million likes and she was showered with congratulatory comments.
Celebrities such as Melanie Griffiths, Vas Morgan, and Chrissy Metz sent sweet messages of congratulations.
Rebel recently announced a new relationship with fashion and jewellery designer, Ramona Agruma after being forced to come out.
The star was contacted by a Sydney Herald journalist and told that they had a story about her forming a lesbian relationship.
Rebel took to Instagram to tell her followers about Ramona.
She said in the post announcing the relationship: “I thought I was looking for a Disney prince but maybe what I needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”
