Former TOWIE star Danielle Armstrong has revealed she is pregnant with her second child after an endometriosis diagnosis meant it would be harder to conceive with her husband, Tommy Edney
The 34-year-old took to Instagram to tell her 1.2 million followers that she had to take three pregnancy tests to truly believe that her dream of having a sibling for her three-year-old daughter, Orla.
The news comes just a year after Danielle revealed she had been given a devastating endometriosis diagnosis in 2018 in which she was told it might be difficult for her to conceive.
She told Fabulous magazine that after leaving the appointment, she cried alone in her car.
She said: “I remember walking out of the appointment and sitting in my car park just crying on my own.
“I had always wanted to be a mum and if that had been taken away from me because of this condition it would have been awful.”
Just six months after her diagnosis, she met Tommy. The pair moved in together and six weeks later she discovered she was pregnant with Orla.
Danielle said her pregnancy with Orla was difficult but that they had hoped for more children.
And now her wish has come true, she said: “We’re absolutely over the moon that we will be adding another bubba to our family in the summer of 2023.”
But one thing Danielle does want to address is how many people felt it was okay to ask her if she was pregnant before she made the announcement.
She said: “You know what I will say, for anyone who is watching this, if you think or suspect someone is pregnant.
“Just a little bit of advice don’t ask them. Don’t even try to do the hints, just keep it to yourself.
“Because I experienced that quite a lot over the past few weeks and it’s really not a nice feeling.
“And to be put in a position like that, it was horrible because you feel like you’re lying, but obviously you are not.”
She said that people should respect other’s decisions about whether they want to reveal their plans or not.
