Bunnie Xo, the wife of American Singer Jelly Roll, is standing up against hateful comments regarding the couple’s journey toward having a baby via surrogacy.
Bunnie recently addressed negative remarks from fans about their decision to pursue surrogacy, particularly criticizing assumptions that she chose this path to avoid physical changes to her body. She shared a screenshot of a Facebook comment implying that carrying the child is a more natural experience and suggested she was avoiding pregnancy for cosmetic reasons.
Bunnie vehemently denied these assumptions, explaining that her decision is based on her age and medical history, including two ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages, which have made her fearful of attempting another pregnancy. She also highlighted concerns about how pregnancy might impact her mental health, noting that she has worked hard to manage her anxiety and depression over the years.
The couple began the long process of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 2019 but only recently went public with their journey. While the overall response from fans has been supportive, the hurtful comments have led Bunnie to decide to keep the rest of their experience private. She expressed a desire for a private journey moving forward, stating that the next update would likely be when the babies are born. Bunnie and Jelly Roll hope to have twin boys but are open to whatever the future holds.
Bunnie concluded her message by urging fans to be kind and considerate, reminding them that they do not know the full extent of someone else’s struggles and journey.
